St. Louis native, Sarah Collins received her Bachelor of Music from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and is currently pursuing her Master’s degree from the Chicago College of Performing Arts in Vocal Performance. She studied voice as a member of Opera Theatre of St. Louis’s Artists-in-Training program in high school and fell in love with the art form. She was featured as a young artist at the Southern Illinois Music Festival in 2023 and the St. Louis Bach Society in 2024.

Her most recent performances were those of Susanna cover in CCPA’s production of Le nozze di Figaro as well as Ma Moss cover in CCPA’s production of The Tender Land. She was featured in March of 2025 as the premiere soloist for Matthew Schildt’s Chicago premiere of his song cycle “O Lonely Watcher” with the College Music Society. She also was a Resident Teaching Artist with Centralia Opera for summer of 2025, where she taught over 15 hours of free voice lessons to high schoolers in the area as well as performed First Lady in The Magic Flute alongside the company. She was featured as a young artist at the Southern Illinois Music Festival in 2023, where she performed ensemble roles in both La rondine and Ernani, as well as with the St. Louis Bach Society in 2024, where she performed chorus and solo roles in Howard Goodall’s Eternal Light: A Requiem, and Bach’s Johannes-passion and “Jesu meine freude”. Sarah will be featured as Governess in CCPA’s upcoming production of The Turn of the Screw as well as Centralia Opera’s upcoming production of Opera for the Youth’s The Elixir of Love as Miss Addy. Sarah would like to thank her friends and family for their unwavering support.
