Alejandra Sandoval-Montañez
(She/Her) Alejandra Sandoval-Montañez is a Mexican-American mezzo-soprano, teaching artist, and content creator. She recently relocated to Fort Wayne, Indiana, to join the Heartland Sings company as their Mezzo-Soprano Principal Artist. 

Alejandra's stage credits include Alisa in Lucia di Lammermoor, Mrs.Segstrom/Desiree Armfeldt in A Little Night Music, Edith in Pirates of Penzance, and Lady Angela in Patience. She holds a Master's in Vocal Performance and Literature from the University of Illinois, where she studied under the guidance of bass-baritone Ricardo Herrera.

Alejandra Sandoval-Montañez

Alejandra Sandoval-Montañez is a Mexican-American mezzo-soprano, teaching artist, and content creator. She recently relocated to Fort Wayne, Indiana, to join the Heartland Sings company as their Mezzo-Soprano Principal Artist.

Her previous work as a Holland Community Fellow with Opera Omaha saw her designing and teaching creativity workshops that seamlessly integrated artistry with community engagement. Alejandra's stage credits include Alisa in Lucia di Lammermoor, Mrs.Segstrom/Desiree Armfeldt in A Little Night Music, Edith in Pirates of Penzance, and Lady Angela in Patience. She holds a Master's in Vocal Performance and Literature from the University of Illinois, where she studied under the guidance of bass-baritone Ricardo Herrera.

Beyond the stage, she is the founder of @AspiringOperaSingers, a thriving online community of 22K+ artists. This platform serves as a virtual space for mentorship, inspiration, and resources for the next generation of classical singers. Alejandra is committed to fostering artistic excellence and creating a more inclusive and equitable music world.
