Biography

Alexander Adkins

Levi Adkins, an Atlanta native, studied in Kathryn Hartgroves studio at Georgia State University where he earned his masters degree in vocal performance. While there he performed in iconic roles such as Don Jose in Carmen, Canio in I Pagliacci, and Stage Manager in Our Town. While also working with local companies such as The Atlanta Opera and Capital City Opera.

Once graduated Levi went on to be a Gerdine Young Artist for Opera Theater St. Louis, where he performed Parpignol in their 2024 production of La Boheme. Levi also won the Georgia district competition for the 2025 Laffont Competition and went on to win an encouragement award at the south east regionals for the Laffont. Levi also toured with The Atlanta Opera’s Studio Tour as Tamino in their production of The Magic Flute, before returning to St. Louis in the Gerdine Young Artist Program to cover Uncle Percy in the Premier of Ricky Ian Gordon’s “This House”. Now he looks forward to performing with Florida Grand Opera as Dr. Blind in Fledermaus and Pong in Turandot for the 2025-2026 season.
