Annabrett Ruggiero is a talented soprano with an impressive background in opera performance. Based in Boston, she was a member of the Boston University Opera Institute, following her Master's in Vocal Performance, which she completed in 2024, and her Bachelor's in Vocal Performance from Stetson University in 2022.
Her operatic repertoire includes significant roles such as First Lady in Magic Flute, Anna Maurant in Street Scene, Ruth in Dark Sisters, and Annio in La clemenza di Tito, performed with Stetson University and the Boston University Opera Institute. She has also portrayed Zandra in Alice Tierney and Cecelia in Little Women at the same institute in 2023, showcasing her versatile talents.
Annabrett has participated in numerous opera scenes, Carmen in Carmen, and a Nymph in Rusalka. Her experience extends to various opera choruses, including performances in Alcina and Our Town at the Boston University Opera Institute. Annabrett has been a singer with the Vero Beach Opera Company since 2021, performing in the company's productions of La Bohemé, Pagliacci, and La Traviata.
She has earned recognition through competitions, being a finalist at the Southeastern Regional NATS in 2022 and winning second place at the Giffin Competition in 2021. Her extensive training includes participation in the Utah Vocal Arts Academy Summer Opera Festival and the Texas Music Festival. In addition, Annabrett has spent two summers as an intern with the Sarasota Opera.
