(She/They) Carmen Souza is a young, aspiring, lyric Mezzo-soprano from Bellingham, WA, studying privately with Celeste Fraser. She recently performed the role of Cherubino in "Le Nozze di Figaro" with the Lyric Opera Studio Weimar in Germany, and recently played Phoebe in “A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder” with a local Washington theater. Her other notable roles include Maria in “West Side Story”, Prinz Orlofsky in "Die Fledermaus" and Hänsel in "Hänsel und Gretel".
