A vocal artist from Hockessin, Delaware, who has been praised for her intentional performances and the sweet color of her voice. Casey’s most recent role was Musetta in La Bohème (University of Utah Opera Theatre). Previously, she premiered the role of Calypso in the first staged production of Penelope and the Geese, later traveling to Greece to perform the role with composer Milica Paranosic and librettist Cheri Magid. Notable previous performances include debuting as Vitellia in La clemenza di Tito (University of Delaware Lyric Theatre), and Helena in A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Chicago Summer Opera). Concert performances include singing as the soprano soloist for a quartet version of Gustav Holst’s Christmas Day (Salt Lake Symphony) and participation in a recital for the Chicana Art Song Project (University of Delaware). Casey holds an M.M. in vocal performance from the University of Delaware, and currently studies under acclaimed mezzo-soprano, Kirstin Chávez at the University of Utah.
