Recent performances from the standard canon include Adele (cover & family performance) in Die Fledermaus (Central City Opera); Lauretta and The Plaintiff in a double bill of Gianni Schicchi and Trial by Jury (Salt Marsh Opera); Gilda in Rigoletto and Lucia and Susanna in a concert of highlights from Lucia di Lammermoor and Le nozze di Figaro (Opera in the Heights); Woglinde in Das Rheingold, Musetta (cover) in La bohème, and Barbarina (Susanna cover) in Le nozze di Figaro (Virginia Opera); and Amore (Euridice cover) in Orfeo ed Euridice (Kentucky Opera). Cancellations due to COVID-19 included Dew Fairy in Hansel and Gretel (Kentucky Opera); Lady with a Hand Mirror in Argento’s Postcard from Morocco and Barbarina cover in Le nozze di Figaro (Merola Opera Program); and Drusilla in The Poppea Project, a new production of The Coronation of Poppea (Opera Columbus).
In the 2019-2020 season, she was in the inaugural Resident Artist Program with Opera Columbus. As a 2018-2019 Herndon Foundation Emerging Artist with Virginia Opera, she covered Adina (L’elisir d’amore) and sang Kate Pinkerton (Madama Butterfly). Catherine spent two summers as an Apprentice Artist with Des Moines Metro Opera, covering Cunegonde (Candide, 2019) and Controller (Flight, 2018).
As a frequent soloist, Catherine has sung the soprano solo in works ranging from Carmina Burana and Messiah to major choral-orchestral works by Mozart and Haydn. A lover of collaborative performances and an avid recitalist, she regularly performs the works of both living and female composers and strives for innovative programming. Her most recent recital involved commissioning 45 minutes of music from living women composers. Expanding the Classical Music Canon featured new art songs by Laura Jobin-Acosta, Carla Lucero, Andrea Ramsey, and Kamala Sankaram; a new aria by Nicole Knorr; and new song cycles by Mikeila McQueston and Gilda Lyons. Catherine has had competition success in Alabama, Michigan, New York, Pennsylvania, and Texas. She was a 2025 Giulio Gari International Vocal Competition Finalist, was a 2020 Laffont Competition—Great Lakes Region Finalist, and was awarded First Place at the 2020 Harold Haugh Light Opera Vocal Competition. Catherine is also a member of mirabai, a professional women's ensemble, most recently performing with the ensemble at the 2026 ACDA East conference.
