Soprano and New York native, Crystal Glenn, is an alumnus of Manhattan School of Music where she received a M.M in Opera Performance and Westminster Choir College of Rider University where she received a B.M in Vocal Performance. Ms. Glenn is currently a Tyler Resident Young Artist with Opera on the James in Lynchburg, VA and will be making her role debut as Kate Pinkerton in Puccini’s Madama Butterfly. Most recently, she has appeared in leading roles with Taconic Opera as Zerbinetta from Strauss’ Ariadne auf Naxos and Blonde from Mozart’s Die Entführung aus dem Serail.
Other operatic highlights include: Soprano soloist in Mozart’s Requiem with Princeton Pro Musica, Julie (cover) in Rhiannon Giddens’ & Michael Abels’ Pulitzer Prize winning opera, Omar, with Carolina Performing Arts and the Spoleto Festival USA, Lauretta from Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi and Oscar from Un ballo in maschera with Taconic Opera, Despina and Pamina from Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte and Così fan tutte, respectively, with New York Opera Conservatory in Westchester County, NY.
