Jack O'Leary is a Bass-Baritone from Havertown, PA with a passion for performing and teaching opera and musical theatre. He graduated from the Eastman School of Music with his Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance in 2024 studying with Kiera Duffy. In 2023, he attended the Chautauqua Opera Conservatory - Chautauqua Institute and performed as the Notary in Puccini's Gianni Schicchi and Russell Paxton/the Ringmaster in Weill’s Lady in the Dark. At Eastman, Jack performed as Capitán in Catán’s Florencia en el Amazonas, the Jailer in Poulenc’s Dialogues des Carmélites, and the Nurse in Davis’ Lear on the 2nd Floor. In 2024, he received the Emerging Talent Award from the Lotte Lenya Competition. After graduating, he took a gap year and taught private voice lessons to children and adults. This past summer, Jack was a Festival Artist at Opera Saratoga where he performed as Arpad Laszlo in Bock and Harnick's She Loves Me and Joseph/Alphonse in Offenbach's La Vie Parisienne. This fall, Jack will be attending the University of Cincinnati - Conservatory of Music for a Master of Music in Vocal Performance under the tutelage of Dr. Gwen Coleman.
