James Jude Johnson, an American dancer, was born in St. Paul, Minnesota, where he received his early training in dance from Larkin Dance Studio and the St. Paul Conservatory for Performing Artists. After high school, James moved to New York to further his training while earning his Bachelors Degree in Fine Arts from The Juilliard School. During that time he had the privilege to participate in Complexions Summer Program, NDT Summer Course, and the honor of taking classes with Tanztheatre Wuppertal of Pina Bausch, to name a few. Professionally, James has danced for the Nai-Ni Chen Dance Company as well as collaboratively re-staged repertoire with Julia Eichten and Norbert De La Cruz III.
