Jason Gonzalez is a tenor from Santa Barbara, CA who has had success in both operatic and concert repertoire. During his 2024-2025 season, he sang the tenor solo in Carmina Burana at Baltimore’s Meyerhoff Symphony Hall under the baton of Andrew Grams, and the tenor solo in Haydyn’s Missa Anguistis at St. Bartholomew’s Episcopal Church, as well as several solo concerts with Bach in Baltimore. He also covered Roberto, Earl of Leicester, with Opera Baltimore in their production of Maria Stuarda, and sang the role of Alexander Scriabin in a new opera, The Death of Alexander Scriabin, by Antonio Sanz Escallón.
This season, Jason is joining Tri-Cities Opera as a resident artist and will be performing in Gianni Schicchi (Rinuccio), and La Traviata (Gastone, Alfredo cover) as well as many community concerts and outreach performances. In the winter, Jason will be singing his first tenor solo in Handel’s Messiah at Second Presbyterian Church in Roanoke, VA.
Jason holds degrees from Oklahoma City University and the Peabody Institute at Johns Hopkins University.
