Jeffrey Neufeld is Music Director & Organist at First Congregational Church, Elgin, Illinois, and has been a church music director and nonprofit leader for over thirty years. Having grown up in Mountain Lake, MN, he began studying the piano at the age of eight and then took up the organ in high school. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Music in organ performance from Wheaton College, a Master of Music in organ and church music from Northwestern University, an MBA in finance from Louisiana State University, and a Doctor of Musical Arts in organ performance and arts administration from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Dr. Neufeld has held several leadership positions at the local and regional level with the American Guild of Organists, the Royal College of Organists (UK), the ecumenical Order of St. Luke, and the Fellowship of United Methodists in Music and Worship Arts. He has collaborated with numerous local musicians and ensembles including the DuPage Symphony, Elgin Symphony, West Suburban Choral Union, Schaumburg Youth Orchestra, and Chicago Master Singers.
