Assistant Conductor & leading the Conducting apprentice program National Symphony Orchestra Summer Music Institute (NSO SMI) John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Washington, D.C. Summer 2025 Assisted NSO musicians and administrative staff in coordinating and leading rehearsals, side-by-side performances, and educational initiatives for high school and collegiate-level participants. Conducted rehearsals and led performances, providing musical leadership in orchestral and sectional settings. Instructed student conductors in fundamentals of orchestral conducting, gesture, score study, and rehearsal technique; designed and facilitated conducting sessions for participants with varying levels of experience. Developed inclusive pedagogical strategies to provide podium time for all students, fostering confidence and leadership skills among young musicians. Collaborated closely with NSO mentors, guest artists, and faculty to uphold the educational mission of the SMI and support its performance programming.

Annapolis Symphony Academy Annapolis, MD | 2024–2025 Assisted José-Luis Novo and faculty in rehearsals and performances for the Annapolis Symphony Academy’s youth orchestras, including the Orion Youth Symphony. Provided conducting support and musical leadership during weekly rehearsals, sectional work, and performances. Led rehearsals in the music director’s absence and served as cover conductor for concerts and educational programs, side by side concert Mentored young musicians from diverse backgrounds, supporting the Academy’s mission of bridging opportunity gaps in classical music education. Collaborated with administrative staff and faculty to plan repertoire and support individualized musical development for pre-college students.
