Margietza A. Skinner is a Greek- American Mezzo-Soprano pursuing a degree in Vocal Performance at the University of North Texas under the tutelage of Molly Fillmore. Hailing from Des Moines, Iowa, Margi has numerous years of performance experience. She has performed with the Des Moines Metro Opera in their productions of Turandot and La Bohème. She has also performed the role of Carmen in Carmen with the Drake University Voice Intensive. In performance with UNT Opera, she will perform in Chorus (Aleko), Land Lady (That Hellbound Train), and in the Featured Ensemble (That Hellbound Train). At UNT, Margi is involved in A Cappella Choir, Sigma Alpha Iota Music Fraternity, and Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society.
