Originally from Bettendorf, Iowa, soprano Megan Maloney is a multi-faceted performer and curator of artistic experiences. A versatile vocal artist, Ms. Maloney uses art song, operatic, and musical theater repertoire to bring highly emotive performances to audiences. On the concert stage she recently performed as a part of the Bard Kurtág Festival and with the Bard Baroque Ensemble led by Renee Louprette. In Fall 2024 Ms. Maloney performed as a featured soloist with The Orchestra Now (TŌN) led by James Bagwell. Among extensive stage experience, Ms. Maloney has appeared as Pamina in Mozart’s The Magic Flute “SuperFlute” with Opera MODO, Noémie in Massenet’s Cendrillon with University of Michigan Opera Theater, and Phyllis in Gilbert and Sullivan’s Iolanthe. Recently she was featured as Morphée in Orphée aux enfers presented by Bard Conservatory and sang in Faust as a member of the Berkshire Opera Festival Chorus. This summer she is excited to remain in the Hudson Valley as a member of the chorus in Dalibor, presented by Bard Summerscape Opera under the direction of Leon Botstein.
Megan previously studied at the University of Michigan, receiving a BM in Voice Performance and a minor in Performing Arts Administration. In May 2025 Megan will recieved her Master of Music at Bard Conservatory as a member of the Graduate Vocal Arts Program, where she studied under Lucy Fitz Gibbon.
