Meghana Krish is an up-and-coming mezzo-soprano based in Maryland. She recently made her Knoxville Opera debut as Kate Stanley in The Pirates of Penzance. She has also appeared as Madame de Croissy in Dialogues des Carmélites, Fidalma in Il Matrimonio Segreto, and Prince Charmant in Cendrillon with the University of Tennessee Opera Theatre. Native to Texas, she completed her Bachelor’s degree in vocal performance at the University of Houston and earned her Master of Music in vocal performance from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville in Spring 2025, studying under Dr. Kimberly Roberts. She has performed as a trio member in a filmed production of Bernstein’s Trouble in Tahiti, Mrs. Herring in Britten’s Albert Herring, and Hata in Smetana’s The Bartered Bride with the Moores Opera Center. Meghana has furthered her training at programs such as the Texas Music Festival and has performed in Austria and Italy, including roles in Le Nozze di Figaro and Die Zauberflöte. In Houston, she sang with Ars Lyrica Houston, Opera in the Heights, and Operativo Houston. Off stage, Meghana enjoys cooking for her friends, reading, and roller skating
