Soprano Risa Shimizu, from Nagoya, Japan, earned her Master of Music in Vocal Performance from Toho Gakuen School of Music.Her staged performances include opera, art song works.Most recently, she performed the title role in Handel’s Deidamia with the Tokyo Nikikai Opera Theatre, and Frasquita in Bizet’s Carmen with the Central Aichi Symphony Orchestra.She was awarded the Excellence Prize upon completing the Master Class at the Tokyo Nikikai Opera Studio.Risa continues to develop her artistry as a lyric soprano, expanding her repertoire in Italian and French opera.
