Welsh soprano Scarlett Jones is currently a Master of Music student in Vocal Arts at The Juilliard School where she studies with Darrell Babidge and is a proud recipient of the Kovner Fellowship and Higley Scholarship. Ms. Jones earned her Bachelor of Music degree from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in London under the tutelage of Eamonn Mulhall and Robert Bottriell, and previously studied at Chetham’s School of Music in Manchester with Diana Palmerston. While at Juilliard, Jones’ operatic performances have included Gertrude in Juilliard’s production of Hänsel und Gretel, as well covering Miss Jessel in Turn of The Screw. During her time at Trinity Laban, Jones performed the titular role in Errollyn Wallen’s Dido’s Ghost, the roles of Waltraute in Wagner's Die Walküre and Wellgunde in Götterdämmerung with the school’s Postgraduate Opera Scenes, and the role of Contessa in an abridged version of Le Nozze di Figaro, which she also produced and directed herself.
