Sianna Monti is a mezzo-soprano from Long Island, New York who is currently based in Boston, Massachusetts. Her full operatic roles include Miss Todd (The Old Maid and the Thief), Hansel (Hansel and Gretel), the Third Lady (Die Zauberflöte), and Cinderella (Cinderella: A Fairytale Opera). As part of the New England Conservatory’s Culture, Equity, and Belonging Department, she brought Cinderella: A Fairytale Opera to schools across the Boston area, introducing young audiences to opera through engaging, accessible performances.
Her extensive scene work includes Dorabella (Così fan tutte), Cherubino (Le Nozze di Figaro), Nicklausse (The Tales of Hoffmann), Mercedes (Carmen), Valletto (L’incoronazione di Poppea), the Third Lady (Die Zauberflöte), and chorus roles in Tannhäuser, La Cenerentola, La Traviata, and Falstaff.
On the concert stage, Sianna has appeared in Britten’s War Requiem, Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9, Mahler’s Symphony No. 8, and James Stephenson’s Voices. She has performed with ensembles including the Tanglewood Festival Chorus, collaborating with conductors such as Andris Nelsons, James Burton, and Antonio Pappano.
A graduate of the New England Conservatory (BM), she has furthered her training with the Queens Summer Vocal Institute, The Oyster Bay Music Festival, Classic Lyric Arts, and Lyric Opera Studio Weimar. A 2019 semi-finalist in The Classical Singer Competition, Sianna continues to bring vibrant interpretations to both classic and contemporary works.
