Yue Yin is a Chinese coloratura soprano whose voice is lauded for its flute-like timbre and exceptional agility on the international stage.
Yue's extensive stage credits feature a diverse repertoire of key roles, including Olympia (Les Contes d’Hoffmann), Morgana (Alcina), Blonde (Die Entführung aus dem Serail), Nannetta (Falstaff), Le Feu (L'Enfant et les sortilèges), and Sophie (Werther). Her versatility is further demonstrated through roles like Pamina and First Lady (Die Zauberflöte), and Bianca (La Rondine).
Dr. Yin maintains an active concert career, having been a featured soprano soloist in major works including Mahler's Symphony No. 8, Bach's Mass in B minor, and Mozart's Mass in C minor. Her professional collaborations span the globe, encompassing organizations such as New York Lyric Opera, Singapore Lyric Opera, Bangkok Opera, Qingdao Symphony Orchestra, Hallelujah Oratorio Society (HOS) and the Jakarta Choral Festival. Her upcoming engagements include the soprano soloist in Haydn’s The Creation in Singapore in November 2025.
Dr. Yin's artistry has been recognized with the Helen and Lynton Memorial Award from the 2020 National Society of Arts and Letters competition. She holds a Doctor of Music and Master of Music in Vocal Performance and Vocal Literature from Indiana University, where her specialized studies included a minor in Music Theory and a certification in vocology. Her foundational training was completed at the Royal College of Music in London (B.Mus.).
