Biography

(She/Her) Celina Randazzo, NYC based Coloratura Soprano, graduated from Frank Sinatra School of the Arts June 2016. She earned her Bachelors of Music in Vocal Performance from Aaron Copland School of Music May 2024. Her recent opera roles include Gretel in Humperdinck’s Hänsel und Gretel, Alcina in Händel’s Alcina, Flora in Britten’s The Turn of the Screw, among others. Celina has performed at renowned venues including Carnegie Hall, Madison Square Garden, Radio City Music Hall, as well as various locations throughout NYC.

Celina participates and helps run this Baroque revival ensemble. She has sung in their concert "Voce di Vino", which featured soloists singing well known arias and a wine tasting. Upcoming project includes "Lamia", a horror novela opera comprised of music by G. F. Handel, arranged by Ivan Maria Feliciano Jr.

The gala happens once a year for Italian American doctors apart of this society. Celina has sung for them 2 years consecutively singing unforgettable Italian arias and folk tunes.

Based in Trieste, Italy, OperUs Young Artists' Program included masterclasses with Alessandro Vitiello in Slovenia and Ilaria Zanetti in Trieste, Italy; music coachings given by Antonella Costantini, Italian/English translation and music performance history by Miriam Endersby, managment classes by Fiorenza Costantini, and Italian diction coachings by Rachele Castellano. Celina would travel from New York City almost every month to Trieste from October to June for this program. Their final concert was in the Sala Bergamas in Gorizia, Italy.

With an Internship with Exploring the Arts, Celina was a Side-by-Siders with MasterVoices in NYC singing as a soprano chorus member. She performed in the Chorus/Ensemble for "Let 'Em Eat Cake" at Carnegie Hall under Ted Sperling and "Iron & Coal" with the Prototype Festival under David Bloom.

Biography

Celina Randazzo

Celina Randazzo began her 2025 season as a featured soloist at the Morgagni Medical Society Gala, where she performed arias “È strano...Sempre libera” from La traviata, “Quando m’en vo” from La bohème, “Chi il bel sogno di Doretta” from La rondine, and “Il mio rigor dimentica” from L’elisir d’amore. She also performed Italian duets alongside soprano Lydia Saylor, with pianist and coach Ronald F. Land, and host/guitarist Edward Smaldone.

During mid-2025, Celina performed in Musica Obsidian’s Voce di Vino Concert at SquareWine & Spirits, where she sang “Ah, mio cor” from G. F. Händel’s Alcina and “Ach ich liebte” from W. A. Mozart’s Die Entführung aus dem Serail. Additionally, she recently completed the OperUs Young Artist Academy 24/25 in Trieste, Italy. She performed in their Final Concert on June 21, 2025 at the Sala Bergamas in Gorizia, Italy where she sang “Ah, non credea mirarti…Ah! non giunge” from La sonnambula and “Ach ich liebte” from W. A. Mozart’s Die Entführung aus dem Serail.

Ms. Randazzo earned her Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance with Cum Laude from the Aaron Copland School of Music in May 2024 studying under Dr. Sherry Overholt. Her operatic roles there included Gretel in Hänsel und Gretel, partial role of Alcina in Alcina, Flora in The Turn of the Screw, Madame Goldentrill in Mozart’s The Impresario, Valencienne in The Merry Widow, and Lisette in La rondine. She also performed as the soprano soloist in Schubert’s Mass in G.

She previously earned her Arts-Endorsed Diploma from the Frank Sinatra School of the Arts, where she majored in voice. Notable roles included the Mother in Amahl & the Night Visitors, Christine in The Phantom of the Opera, and Velma in Hairspray. She also appeared as the soprano soloist in Schubert’s Mass in Eb and was ensemble for their production of Ragtime. During her senior year, she participated in MasterVoices’ Side-by-Side Program through her internship with Exploring the Arts, performing in productions unde the baton of Ted Sperling in Let ’Em Eat Cake  and Schӧnfeld’s Iron & Coal in the Prototype Festival.

Celina has performed at many prestigious venues, including Carnegie Hall, Madison Square Garden, Radio City Music Hall, the Ziegfeld Theater, Shubert Theatre, The Church of St. Luke in the Fields, The Plaza Hotel, The Manhattan Club, and numerous other locations throughout New York City. She also performed the Star Spangled Banner for the New York Mets at CitiField and the San Francisco Giants at Oracle Park.
