Biography

Audrey Daum

       Audrey Daum is an emerging soprano based in New York City. She will debut in New York this fall as Mary in John Adams’ El Niño, and as a soloist in Handel’s Messiah this spring under the baton of Dr. John William Trotter as part of a new production in collaboration with dancers from the Joffrey Ballet. 

       Audrey made her professional debut in 2019, performing the role of The Soloist in Leonard Bernstein’s The Mass with Chicago’s Arena Theater. Her notable operatic roles include Giulietta in Il Capuleti e i Montecchi, Marie in La Fille du Régiment, Gretel in Hänsel und Gretel, Ariel in The Enchanted Island, Ginevra in Ariodante, Belinda in Dido and Aeneas, and Anne in A Little Night Music. Passionate about oratorio and concert music, Audrey recently performed Britten’s Les Illuminations in Boston and BWV 187: Es wartet alles auf dich with renowned Bach scholar Dr. Joshua Rifkin. She graduated from the New England Conservatory of Music in 2021 from MaryAnn McCormick’s studio and currently studies with Dr. Lorraine Ernest. 

       Audrey is a native of Raleigh, North Carolina. Raised in the theater, she loves to perform Shakespeare in between singing engagements and can usually be found with her friends trying their best in a dance class.
