Bry Toll, soprano, is a Virginia native who is known for her “classic, sparkly soubrette” and “touching vulnerability” (Front Row Center). In the summer of 2025, she made her debut with Camerata Bardi Vocal Academy and Teatro Grattacielo, singing the role of Susanna (Le nozze di Figaro), working under the direction of  Stefanos Koroneos and conducted by Abdiel Vazquez. Bry attended Lyric Opera Studio Weimar in Weimar, Germany, where she debuted Papagena (Die Zauberflöte), and Barbarina (Le nozze di Figaro) in the summers of 2023 and 2024, respectively. She joined Shakespeare Opera Theater’s 2024 season, covering Lady-in-Waiting, and singing The Crowned Child in a hybrid opera/theater production of Verdi’s Macbeth. In December of the same year, she returned to SOT to cover Musetta (La bohème).

A recent graduate of James Madison University, she completed her B.M. in Vocal Performance, where she sang Valletto (L’incoronazione di Poppea), performed scenes as Casilda (The Gondoliers), and regularly performed with the JMU Opera Chorus. She is a multidisciplinary artist, traveling to Montreal, QC to study jazz technique with vocalist, Sienna Dahlen and guitarist, Mike Rud in the summer of 2022. Her studies led to performances with the JMU Jazz Band and small jazz ensembles at venues throughout Harrisonburg, VA.

Bry has begun stepping into the realm of oratorio, her credits including Fauré’s Requiem, and Stanford’s Magnificat in G at St. John’s Norwood Episcopal Church in Chevy Chase, MD, where she serves as soprano section leader.
