Estelina Syla is an accomplished soprano based in New York. She earned her Bachelor of Music in Voice from the Mannes School of Music at The New School in 2023. She is currently a Resident Artist with Classic Lyric Arts, continuing to refine her craft and expand her performance experience.
Throughout her studies and career, Estelina has shown great versatility across many operatic roles. At Mannes Opera, she performed Il Destino in La Calisto and Future Nuns in In the Green (2022), and covered the roles of Linfea and Eye in the same productions. She was also the cover for Zerlina in Don Giovanni with Bare Opera (2019) and performed Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro at the National Experimental Theater of Tirana (2018). Earlier in her career, she took part in Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana and Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 “Ode to Joy” with the National Opera & Ballet Theatre of Tirana (2016).
Her concert and choral experience includes The Fairy Queen by Henry Purcell at the Mannes Sounds Festival (2022), the DaPonte Project with Mannes Opera (2020–2021), and The New School Community Chorus Concert (2019).
In 2025, Estelina joined the CLA Italy Summer Program, performing as a Soloist in Summer Serenata at Teatro Sociale Novafeltria and Teatro Angelo Mariani, and scenes in Concerto d’Opera at Castello di Gradara.
Her artistry has also been recognized in several competitions. She received 6th prize at the Mimas Festival and was among the Top 14 at the Capri Opera Festival (2022). She earned First Prize at the Jorgjia Truja Festival in 2017 and 2018, along with the Hamide Stringa Prize (2018) and Nina Mula Prize (2017).
In 2024, she performed scenes as Fiordiligi (Così fan tutte), Susanna (Le Nozze di Figaro), and Violante (La Finta Giardiniera) at CLA Berkshires. Her other concert appearances include “Vendi Im” Annual Concert, “Snowflower Concert” with Albanian Excellence, “Bel Canto Evening” with Mannes Opera, “Women and Art” (2023), and the Gala Concert with Metro Opera Tech (2022).
Outside her performance career, Estelina is also dedicated to coaching, working alongside esteemed mentors like Glenn Morton and Anthony Manoli.
Fluent in Albanian and English, with working knowledge of Italian, German, and French, Estelina brings a deep cultural understanding to her art. With her expressive voice, dedication, and passion, she continues to grow as one of the promising young talents in today’s classical music world.
