Siir Cole (he/they) is a neurodivergent trans masc composer, musician/multi-instrumentalist, and spiritualist from Cleveland, Ohio.
He received his BA in music performance from belmont university & his MDiv from vanderbilt divinity school with a concentration in Black Church Studies.
Using his intersections, Siir helps people to decolonize their spirituality, reconnect with Ancestors & Spirit, & create spaces for the Black diaspora to share community & knowledge.
He co-teaches Black Beauty School with his partner, Kiing Curry and captures all bts from Kiing's photo/video shoots. These bts are essential to preserving a non-binary & trans viewpoint of the creation process. He then makes spiritual connections to how we engage with one another on & off the set.
Siir’s work explores questions such as:
What happens when we respond to Ancestors & Spirit differently? Is the Black church relevant? Who are we outside of racism? Why are we so afraid to move back to Afrika?
