Sofia Borras is a 17-year-old singer and emerging performer in the music industry, known for her performances as Regina George in Mean Girls and Persephone in Hadestown. Her performing is based in her hometown of Tucson, Arizona. She has been performing on the stage since the age of 9, but she has been singing before she knew what singing was! Sofia began her musical theater journey in her elementary school productions of The Little Mermaid as Sebastian. She discovered her love for performing there, and began to branch out in productions such as Godspell and Annie. Sofia is currently a student at the Inner Voice Studio with Kaitlin Bertenshaw, who allows her to continuously grow her passion for her craft and make her a better performer. 

Sofia is also a student at Salpointe Catholic High School, and is an active member in her troupe, Troupe 5370. Sofia participates in all of her high school productions and is a part of her advanced drama class. She takes this class with her teacher and director, Ericka Quintero. Sofia has attended her Thespian Festival and Nationals trips with Salpointe where she has won superiors for a duet song, contrasting monologues, and solo musical. Through all four years with Troupe 5370 she has performed as a Ronette in Little Shop of Horrors and Persephone in Hadestown. 

Other than performing, Sofia loved to spend time with her friends and practice martial arts. She is a black belt in Ty Won Doe, training with the talented teachers at Oro Valley Martial Arts Center. She loves to bring nature to her by gardening and decorating her room with houseplants. As she enters her senior year, she is dedicated to her true passion, singing. She continues to work on her craft endlessly and dedicate time to her improving performing skills as she works towards a future career in musical theater.
