Yuiba Shin (Legal name: Jee Won Shin) is a coloratura soprano from Daegu, South Korea. After completing her Bachelor of Music degree at Keimyung University, she moved to the United States, where she earned her Master’s Degree in Vocal Performance at New York University, an Advanced Certificate at CUNY Queens College, an Artist Diploma at SUNY Purchase College, and a Doctorate of Musical Arts at Louisiana State University.
Her upcoming engagement includes singing Pedro in Opera Mississippi’s The Christmas Gift. Her recent performance credits include Aloès from L’Étoile, Adele from Die Fledermaus, La Fée from Cendrillon, Serpina from La Serva Padrona, Suor Genovieffa from Suor Angelica, Blonchen from Die Entführung aus dem Serail, Papagena from Die Zauberflöte, Adina from L’eslisir d’amore, Susanna from Le nozze di Figaro, and Despina from Così fan tutte.
Now residing in Louisiana following her marriage, Yuiba continues to develop her career in the United States while actively engaging in performance and pedagogy. As a cancer survivor, she embodies resilience and positivity, and she looks forward to sharing her passion
