Originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota Scott attended the Ailey/Fordham program and graduated with his B.F.A. in dance in NYC. Scott currently is an ensemble dancer playing Nachum/Yussel and understudies the Fiddler at Fiddler on the Roof National Tour directed by Bartlett Sher and choreographed by well known Israeli choreographer Hofesh Shechter. He has also had the privilege of working for companies such as Classical Theater of Harlem directed by Ty Jones, Earl Mosley’s Diversity of Dance, Elisa Monte Dance, Nimbus Dance Works, and Oui Danse in NYC. Scott has worked with directors and choreographers such as Sari Ketter, Chris Evans, Matthew Rushing, Sidra Bell, Darrell Grande Moultrie, Norbert De La Cruz III, among others. Scott performed as an ensemble dancer in The Three Musketeers with Classical Theater of Harlem directed by Jenny Bennet and choreographed by Tiffany Rae-Fisher. He was a dancer/model in Kenzo & H&M’s high fashion show choreographed by Ryan Heffington. Scott danced in the 5th and 9th annual Dance Against Cancer’s Benefit Concert at Alice Tulley Hall in Lincoln Center directed by Erin Fogarty Bittner and Daniel Ulbricht. He danced in Grace Farms Opening performance in New Canaan, CT choreographed by Matthew Rushing, Associate Artistic Director of Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, in collaboration with Broadway Inspirational Voices. Scott performed at the historic Apollo Theater with Elisa Monte Dance as part of the Young People’s Chorus of NYC performance showcase “Red Light, Green Light”. He danced as a soloist in Danone Nations Cup choreographed by Willy Laury and Tiffany Rae-Fisher. Scott also has been a dancer and choreographer assistant for Ray Mercer from Broadway’s “The Lion King” in the Hudson Valley Dance Festival and a dancer/educator/choreographer with Earl Mosley’s Diversity of Dance where he appeared as a soloist in the International Ballet Festival in Cali, Colombia, among others. Scott has been a dance educator to students in kindergarten through university level for five years. He has choreographed for performance arts high schools, dance festivals, and dance organizations such as Frank Sinatra Performance Arts High School, DUMBO Dance Festival and Earl Mosley’s Diversity of Dance for BAM Fisher in NYC, among others. Scott won an award for being one of NJPAC’s Jersey New Moves! Emerging Choreographers in 2016. Scott creates and collaborates with other videographers and artists on his own dance films such as “Not Backing Down” and “M.5.G.”. He explores dance photography/film as well as has done Instagram takeovers for @fiddlerbroadway, @the_ordway and was social media content creator for @earlmosley_diversityofdance from 2018-2019.
